Two Point Hospital arrives on PC on August 30, and in this preview we look at how the game is shaping up. The new career mode offers a more interesting slant than an endless trip through successive hospitals, as you face challenges from heat waves to restricted budgets. Then there’s the new personality system being simulated behind the scenes - one that governs character behaviour beyond simple job and skill types. How do you deal with dirty doctors and useful idiots?
There’s also the question of morals as you tinker with every price in the hospital and decide if you’re going to be a saintly Nye Bevan or one of the wretched lot we’ve got these days? The game isn’t inherently political, even though I think the tutorial man looks like Jeremy Corbyn. Weird right? And if that’s too stern for you, I also take some time to celebrate the daft hospital radio. There’s something here for everyone.
